Great site. I just want to let any would-be beginners at a martial art (I recently started Chongshindo in Sutton Coldfield) that they should definatly try this one out because it is not a rigid martial art like some forms tend to be and is very useful in real life situations. Thanks, Sam

British Aikido Board, Controversy has now been updated at www.GeoCities.com/BritishAikido or just punch British Aikido into your search box, the questions being asked are why did the chairman lie to all attending Principal Coaches at the General meeting? why did they ignore all the controversy info offered to them, why did they use influence to close the web site National Aikido Communication Database?? Is it time for Sport England to intervene in the controversy and the bizarre attitude of the governing body for aikido in the UK. Yours in Budo Sensei Derek Eastman..

British Aikido:

The British Aikido Controversy has now ended in a resolution as a result of the mediation of the Governments head of governing bodies Sport England/BritishAikido Board/Henry Ellis.

The British Aikido Board have given a full apology to Henry Ellis which was accepted.
The BAB also admitted that Mr Jack Poole had been given the tarnished bronze statue to "APPEASE" him. The BAB also admitted that Mr Poole could only corroborate his history from 1968 and not 1952 as previously claimed.

We now intend to dedicate our joint efforts into
the "Kenshiro Abbe 50th Celebration of Aikido"
from its inception to Britain in 1955 with a celebratory seminar at Londons Crystal Palace on the 14th May 2005.

karate governing body who are supposed to be the government
recognised body, glad I'm not with that lot (www.geocities.com/

interested only in training and improving. It's good to see some
grown ups that share the same ideas :-)

Try getting across to Shinhan Billy Doak's Ju jitsu in Llanelei (probably spelt wrong) or Sensei Kevin O'Hagan's dojo in Bristol. It would't suprise me if either one of them had someone in the chepstow area how could expand your knowledge of martial Arts.

This is a great m/a source of information.

Kenshiro Abbe 50th Celebration Seminar May 14th 2005 Crystal Palace London

Anonymous writes "I would like to thank Martial Arts Clubs for its continuous support for this event which was an unmitigated success with a total of 720 Participants - Guests - Spectators. The Taiko Drummers made a dramatic start to the day as people arrived from as far away as New Mexico and Texas USA, Holland, Germany, France. with representaion from the Japanese Embassy and Sport England. The guest list of 50 eminent martial artists included Sensei Bill Woods aide to Abbe Sensei 1955/1967. Sensei Robin Otani.
There were many students and teachers from the British Aikido Board who along with everyone else had a great day despite looking at an empty VIP chair reserved in the name of Mr Vincent Sumpter the British Aikido Board Chairman who chose not to attend to pay his respects to Kenshiro Abbe Sensei which could only remind the many who commented on his absence of the infamous British Aikido Board statement " We the British Aikido Board are not the custodians of British Aikido history and therefore have no interest in the same!"

the doctor or nurse practitioner will ask you to lie on your back and move down so your behind is at the end of the table. You'll bend your knees and rest your feet in two stirrups, which are metal triangular loops that stick out from the end of the table. These might look a little scary, but they're just there to rest your feet in and keep you more comfortable. The doctor or nurse practitioner will ask you to relax your knees out to the sides as far as they will go. It might feel a little funny to be lying with your legs opened like this, but everyone feels that way at first.

The doctor or nurse practitioner will put on gloves and examine the outside of your vagina While your feet are still in the stirrups, the doctor or nurse practitioner will put lubricant on two fingers (while still wearing the gloves) and slide them inside your vagina. Using the other hand, he or she will press on the outside of your lower abdomen (the area between your vagina and your stomach). With two hands, one on the outside and one on the inside,
